What an amazing international final battle!!! Eight teams, 16 great artists, hundreds of freaking out fans and guests – finally thousands of empty MOLOTOW markers and 16 walls designed by the best european urban artists. And we are very proud to announce that MUR Crew from Latvia has deservedly won the title 'the First international PAINT CLUB Champion 2010'.

First of all: During the last few weeks we were really looking forward to our first international PAINT CLUB final - but to be honest we hadn't expected such a great time with plenty of unforgettable moments! So much creativity, so much freaking out and so much enthusiasm. And therefore we'd like to say thanks to everybody, thanks to all of the teams who attended this year, thanks to the fans of PAINT CLUB and also thanks to the Charles Bronson Club in Halle and the whole Absolut Bronson festival crew!
1st Day, 3rd of December, Semi-final rounds
Due to weather conditions the first day of the PAINT CLUB final was quite thrilling for all of us. Flights were canceled, trains delayed and a few teams responsibly decided not to come by car. But finally all teams (Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Latvia, Austria, Netherlands and Czech Republic) arrived at the Charles Bronson Club in Halle. Already on this first day all teams seemed to be really chilled and get along with each other well. And we even kept the tired ones going. Thanks to Red Bull. And a little bit later the first small walls at the Charles Bronson Club got filled creatively with paint while the frames for the semi-final were being prepared.
Right on time the doors of the Absolut Bronson festival got opened and a little bit later the Lady Luck drew the topics for the first pre-rounds. And so the TWR Brothers from Czech Republic and the MUR Crew from Latvia in the left corner had to interpret the topic 'jungle' while in the right corner the swiss team OneTruth had to battle the guys from Slovakia by illustrating the topic 'traffic'. All the four teams did a great job but at the end the MUR Crew from Latvia and PEK Crew from Slovakia succeeded. Welcome to the semi-final, guys.

The following four teams competed against each other in the second pre-round. Team Klausi from Austria had to battle against the polish folks from Spoon10 by turning their wall into a 'circus' and Sket185 and Ser from the Netherlands tried to fight back Germany into the 'zoo'. At the end Germany sustained and also Team Klausi made the circus their home.
With these four teams for the Saturday semi-final (Latvia, Slovakia, Germany and Austria) turned the rest of the night into a mash-up of traffic, jungle, zoo and circus, which Absolut Bronson managed best by pumping truly everybody into it.

2nd Day, 4th of December, final rounds
Some nights leave some traces and some other nights leave even more traces. The last one left definitely more. But after the official food-clash at the Charles Bronson Club the spirit came back into everybody's faces and hands – soon the first walls have been designed. The door opened again at 8 p.m. and Cre-ei8ht from Dresden, one of the judges for tonight and our Lady Luck for the topics chose ironically the topic 'in the morning' for the still hangovered MUR Crew from Latvia and the PEK crew from Slovakia. The second draw brought the topic 'weapons' for the Team Klausi from Austria and the Team Germany represented by Caparso and Mike Okay. Once more 60 minutes of thrilling battle-time passed by like nothing and the four walls got filled with extraordinary colourful characters whereas hundreds of mesmerized people were watching the scene at the Charles Bronson Club. At the end only two teams made it to get to the final round and these two teams turned out to be the in the meantime recovered guys from Latvia and the Team Bandits/KLUB7 from Germany.
No time to rest for anybody 'cause the final will take place subsequently. The final topic was drawn: 'Egoshooter' shall be the last quest to solve and 90 minutes and two huge walls were just about to blow. Tension was now in the air as both teams started discussing and sketching on the massive canvasses. Team Latvia worked well with the time as well as with the topic. Germany began a little late back but sped up soon after they got into the flow.
After the 90 minutes were gone everybody was on the edge, keen to shout out their decision and hot to know who's gonna be the first international PAINT CLUB champion. After two earsplitting storms of applause the MUR Crew from Latvia pocketed the first point. But the first judge decision turned out to be a good one for Germany. Now the two teams and as well the audience seemed to shake in their boots while everybody was waiting for the final decision, which now was the one to be made by Cre-ei8ht. Slowly he turned his piece of cardboard, which should be a feather that brakes the balance and brings the title for one of the two teams. Ages passed by and suddenly it became clear: MUR Crew from Latvia is the first international PAINT CLUB Champion for 2010. No more words, only prices and exultation. Congratulations to Robert and Klavs from Team Latvia! Only Held Vodka knows the rest of the night and many pictures documenting the whole weekend. Just take an extensive look at the picture section.

And thanks again to all attending teams, to the Charles Bronson Crew for a great teamwork, to all music artists at Absolut Bronson Festival for dope beats and last but not least thanks to the catering, which made our and our artists' day began great.
And one thing is for sure: An even bigger PAINT CLUB will return next year. And until then: Watch out for the PAINT CLUB battle near by.
